‘The Voice’ finalist India Carney set to host UCLA’s Beat ’SC bonfire and rally


On Nov. 24, thousands of UCLA football fans and members of the campus community will converge on UCLA’s Wilson Plaza to show support for the Bruins, who will hit the gridiron against their crosstown rivals, the USC Trojans, on November 28 at Memorial Coliseum.

The Beat ‘SC Bonfire & Rally will be hosted by recent UCLA alumna India Carney, who finished fifth in Season 8 of NBC’s “The Voice,” and will feature high-energy performances by several UCLA vocal and dance acts. The hourlong event begins at 7 p.m.


Participants include:

  • UCLA football coach Jim Mora and members of the UCLA football team
  • UCLA Spirit Squad and UCLA Marching Bruin Band
  • NCAA championship-winning UCLA men’s water polo team
  • UCLA students and alumni

Limited parking for satellite trucks will be available on a first-come, first-served basis on the west side of Wilson Plaza. Trucks should be in place before 4 p.m. Media may also park in the bus cut-out lane on Charles E. Young Drive north, just west of Westwood Plaza off Sunset, or Lot R, just east of Westwood Plaza.
