UCLA leaders to take part in Achieve UC event at Bell High School

UCLA leadership, along with Assembly Speaker Anthony Rendon and senior leadership from the Los Angeles Unified School District will meet with students and teachers at Bell High School as part of an Achieve UC event on Thursday, October 19.

Achieve UC is a University of California initiative aimed at helping more students understand how to prepare for higher education and to encourage them to get on and stay on a path to college. Senior UC campus leaders visit high schools and the program features college readiness workshops.

The program is offered in UC partner high schools with significant numbers of students who will be the first in their families to attend college. Students have the opportunity to hear from UC leadership about the importance of a college education and the role that UC can play, and to understand how to save and pay for college and the resources, including Blue and Gold Opportunity, that are available through the University of California.

Thursday, October 19, from 9:20 a.m. to 12:40 p.m.
