Tom Nunan, a visiting assistant professor at the UCLA School of Theater, Film and Television and a member of the school's steering committee, recently sat down with Charlie Day and Rob McElhenney to talk about their FX show "It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia." The event attracted more than 400 people to the Haines Hall venue on Feb. 13, and acted as an extended session of Nunan's Network TV Management class, which focuses this quarter specifically on FX Networks.

Nunan has extensive experience running television networks and has acted as president of UPN (now the CW), NBC Studios and Fox Broadcasting Company. After helping to develop a fuller programming schedule at these networks, Nunan founded his own production company, Bull's Eye Entertainment, which has worked with Sony Pictures TV and other partners to create movies such as the Academy Award-winning "Crash." Nunan is a TFT alumnus, and teaches annually in its Graduate Producers Program. Nunan is the former president of the Hollywood, Radio and TV Society and is currently chairman of the Joyful Heart Foundation, created and founded by Emmy and Golden Globe award-winning actress Mariska Hargitay.

"It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia" returns for its ninth season this September.
