Between four and six current or recent postdoctoral scholars will be selected to receive a plaque and a $6,000 stipend. The scholars and their faculty research mentors will be recognized at the UCLA Postdoctoral Scholars and Mentors Awards Ceremony on Tuesday, Sept. 25 at the California NanoSystems Institute from 3 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. Those selected to receive the award will be notified in advance of this celebration and must be present to receive it.

More information on the eligibility, selection criteria and nomination process for the award can be viewed here. Each department or institute may select up to two nominations to forward to the graduate division for consideration by the selection committee. Departments or institutes with 35 or more postdoctoral scholars may nominate up to three candidates, and those with 60 or more scholars may nominate up to four. The postdoctoral scholar’s mentor is responsible for preparing and submitting the full nomination package to the department or institute chair or their designee.
