If you’re planning to attend the UCLA All-Staff Picnic on Thursday, Aug. 8, don’t forget to pick up your complimentary ticket, which is required to get your free lunch. The picnic will be held on Dickson Plaza from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m.
Visit any of the following locations until Friday, Aug. 2, to pick up your ticket to the event:
- Central Ticket Office, James West Alumni Center
- Covel Commons, front desk
- Registrar’s affice, 1113 Murphy Hall
- Reception area, North Campus Student Center
- BruinCard center, 123 Kerckhoff Hall
- Campus human resources, Suite 200, Wilshire Center
- Gift hhop, Ronald Reagan UCLA Medical Center
- Santa Monica – UCLA Medical Center Administration, G140
Tickets will be distributed Monday through Friday from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. (except at Covel Commons, where they will be available 24 hours a day). To obtain a ticket, you must present your own valid BruinCard at one of the distribution locations. Due to the anticipated number of staff attending the event, you may only pick up your own lunch with your picnic ticket.
The All-Staff picnic strives for sustainability, so attendees are encouraged to be mindful after they’ve finished their meals and to place items into their proper bins — recyclables, compostables and garbage. People are also encouraged to bring reusable water bottles and utensils.
Those interested in helping out can sign up here to volunteer. Staff Assembly also is asking people to take this survey to better help organizers anticipate what would make this year’s picnic the best experience for staff.
Supervisors are encouraged to grant employees sufficient release time in addition to their normal lunch period to attend the picnic, provided that the absence would not infringe upon the performance of required job duties.
