Applications for the 2018-2019 TIE-INS program are now being accepted. The program, now in its 10th year, was developed at Chancellor Gene Block’s behest by the UCLA Graduate School of Education and Information Studies to enable children of UCLA employees to attend eight nearby public schools:
- Beethoven Street Elementary School
- Broadway Elementary School
- Brockton Elementary School
- Nora Sterry Elementary School
- Walgrove Avenue Elementary School
- Emerson Middle School
- Mark Twain Middle School
- University High School
The 2018–2019 applicationis available at the TIE-INS website, on which you can arrange a tour and learn more about the information sessions offered by the schools. The website lists the application deadline dates for each school. All UCLA academic appointees and career staff at any classification level are eligible to apply to participate in the program. For employees who need access to a computer or the Internet to complete an application, computers are available at Center X in the Graduate School of Education and Information Studies, Housing and Hospitality Services, General Services, or Campus Human Resources, Suite 200, Wilshire Center.
