To prepare for Arbor Day, the Fowler Museum at UCLA is hosting an interactive storytelling on Friday, April 20.
The book, “Wangari’s Trees of Peace: A True Story from Africa” will be read aloud at 11:30 am in the Fowler lobby. The story details the life of Wangari Maathai, a Kenyan environmentalist and winner of the Nobel Peace Prize in 2008.
After the reading, a museum educator will lead families on a brief exploration of artworks related to the story as part of Fowler’s exhibition, “Intersections: World Arts, Local Lives.”
This event is free and open to the public. No reservation is required.
