Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration

The Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration’s Voice Awards, an event that brings together the behavioral health community, and individuals in recovery and their family members who have served as community champions in the struggle to improve the lives of people with mental illnesses and addictions, will be held at UCLA on Aug. 16.

The ceremony will begin at 7:30 p.m. in Royce Hall. The event also recognizes television and film productions that educate the public about behavioral health and showcase that recovery is real and possible. This year, individuals and entertainment productions that provide hope and support to past and present service members who have faced mental health and addiction challenges will receive special attention.

The event is free and open to the public. Advanced registration is required. The awards ceremony will also be live-streamed.
