On Wednesday, Aug. 17, from 7:30-9 p.m., the Fowler Museum presents “Waa’gey: Mysteries of the Wayfinding Voyagers.” The documentary follows a group of young men from the island of Lamotrek in the Federated States of Micronesia as they build a voyaging canoe and sail it 500 miles away to Guam using only traditional methods of navigation. Following the screening, there will be a discussion about the ongoing project with director Douglas Varchol and project leader Larry Raigetal.

The free screening will take place at the Fowler Museum in the Lenart Auditorium. For more information, follow this link.
