Noa Pinter-Wollman, UCLA associate professor of ecology and evolutionary biology, has been awarded the 2019 Outstanding New Investigator Award by the Animal Behavior Society.

A leader in the study of animal social networks and an expert on collective behavior, Pinter-Wollman has pioneered the study of how structures in the environment influence collective behavior, and is launching an effort to create a new field of study, merging the sciences and architecture.
