Behzad Razavi, UCLA professor of electrical engineering, has received the 2014 American Society for Engineering Education (ASEE) PSW Outstanding Teaching Award for his superlative teaching and seminal textbooks. The award honors faculty members who have made significant contributions to education in engineering.

Known as an accomplished scholar, a gifted writer and an exemplary teacher, Razavi specializes in the design of integrated circuits for high-speed and RF communication systems. He and his students have received awards at IEEE conferences, such as the ISSCC, CICC, VLSI Circuits Symposium and ESSCIRC.

The society is a nonprofit organization established in 1893 for the promotion of excellence in instruction, research, public service and practice. It is a worldwide leader in engineering education.  At present, there are over 12,000 members from the academic community.
