UCLA faculty, staff and students can purchase discount tickets for "Gloria Steinem and Jill Soloway in Conversation," being presented on Dec. 4 at Royce Hall by the UCLA Center for the Art of Performance (CAP). They will discuss the question, "What would it mean to live in a city whose people were changing each other's despair into hope?"
Steinem is a writer, lecturer, political activist and feminist organizer. Founder of Ms. magazine and a frequent media spokeswoman on issues of equality, she travels extensively as an organizer and lecturer. Soloway is the creator of Amazon Studios' award-winning "Transparent." She won the U.S. Dramatic Directing Award at the 2013 Sundance Film Festival for her first feature film, "Afternoon Delight," and is a three-time Emmy nominee for her work writing and producing "Six Feet Under."
