UCLA's Fowler Museum is closing out the summer with something fun for youngsters before going back to school. On Sunday, August 17 from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m., the Fowler is hosting “Mask Making” as part of its Kids in the Courtyard series to spark children’s creativity.

In the Fowler’s Davis Courtyard, participants will be provided with mask-making materials along with inspiration in the form of masks by artistic greats such as Yaqui, Gelede and Eharo. Later, the young artists can show off  their masks while being treated to a 3:30 p.m. concert by DAFRA Drum.

“Mask Making” is free and open to the public. Parking is at lot 5, accessible from Sunset Boulevard at Royce Drive, for a flat-fee of $12, cash only. Parking structure 4, the usual site for Fowler parking, is currently closed, due to flood damages that occurred on July 29 as a result of a water main break.
