The UCLA Office of Information Technology presents the sixth annual Mobility and Modern Web Conference (MMWCon) Sept. 14-16 at the California NanoSystems Institute. Faculty and staff are invited to join the unique mix of educators, strategic thinkers, industrial designers, researchers and entrepreneurs to connect with peers and engage with future tech innovations.
The conference, which includes two days of sessions followed by a day of hands-on workshops, will cover the latest trends in mobility and the modern web. Sessions are divided into three tracks: mHealth and Sensors, Mobility Toolkit, and Next Generation Mobile and Data.
Also on the agenda is an awards ceremony for the UCLA Code for the Mission competition, with each of the three winning teams receiving $5,000. In addition, Team Block will unveil UCLA Chancellor Gene Block’s mobile app project.
Faculty and staff can take advantage of the early-bird, nonprofit registration fee of $295 through July 31; after that date, the nonprofit fee increases to $475.
