Jackie Reynolds, chief information officer at UCLA Anderson School of Management, has received the 2014 Excellence in Leadership (EXCEL) Award. Given annually by Campus Human Resources in partnership with UCLA's Administrative Management Group (AMG), the award honors individuals who have had a significant influence on the people they lead, who exemplify management excellence and who have made significant contributions to the entire campus.
Reynolds' "unwavering enthusiasm, her capacity to make things happen and her willingness to be a career mentor for staff everywhere on campus" contributed to her selection for the award, said AMG. Candidates for the award are nominated by their campus colleagues.
Reynolds joined UCLA Anderson in 2012, after serving as director of community programs in UCLA's Office of Information Technology, where she created the UCLA-wide Digital Citizenship Program and IT Peace Corps. Prior to that, she served for nearly 30 years in UCLA central administrative computing, where she created the Campus Data Warehouse, IAM UCLA and many campus IT programs. Reynolds earned her M.B.A. at UCLA Anderson in 1985.
