The 28th annual JazzReggae Festival fills UCLA's intramural field this Memorial Day weekend with the soulful rhythms of reggae and the phenomenal vibes of jazz, R&B and soul music, celebrating diversity on campus and within the Los Angeles community.
Founded and presented by students in UCLA’s Cultural Affairs Commission, the two-day festival — Jam Day on Sunday, May 25, and Reggae Day on Monday, May 26 — will feature artists such as Ky-Mani Marley, Snoop Dogg, Aloe Blacc and Black Uhuru.
The largest student-run festival in the nation, the JazzReggae Festival has become an L.A. tradition, showcasing both emerging and legendary artists and featuring multiculural food and art. The festival also aims to produce a green-conscious event and to educate individuals on how to be conscious about the earth and sustainability.
Gates open at 11 a.m. both days, with the festival running noon-7 p.m. For more information, visit JazzReggae Fest. Staff and faculty can purchase $25 discounted tickets in-person with BruinCard ID at UCLA's Central Ticket Office by Friday, May 23. Free admission for children ages 8 and under.
