Professor David Paige from the Earth, planetary and space sciences department will be presenting a lecture as part of the Meteorite Gallery Lecture Series on Sunday, July 16, from 2:30 p.m. to 3:30 p.m. His lecture will focus on the potential for ice deposits at the poles of the mMoon and Mercury. New spacecraft data support the interpretation that there is ice in some parts of craters near the poles of Mercury and the Earth’s moon that are in permanent shadow.

The lecture is free and open to the public and will take place in Geology 3656. For more information, please visit the UCLA Meteorite Collection’s event page.
