The Henry J. Bruman Summer Chamber Music Festival presents its first concert of the 2017 series. A performance by iPalpiti Soloists will feature talented young professional artists from around the globe including Peter Mezo, violin; Stephanie Appelhans, violin; Victor de Almeida, viola; Francisco Vila, cello; and Ofer Canetti, cello. The musicians will play Quintet in C major, D. 956 by Franz Schubert (1797–1828).
The free concert will be held on Thursday, July 27, from noon to 1 p.m. in the Powell Library Rotunda. The event is open to the public.
Founded in 1997 by Eduard and Laura Schmieder, iPalpiti Artists International is a nonprofit organization that each summer brings 25 to 30 exceptionally gifted professional musicians to Los Angeles.
The Bruman Summer Chamber Music Festival is made possible by the Henry J. Bruman Trust; a gift from professors Wendell Jeffrey and Bernice Wenzel; a gift in memory of Raymond Johnson; and with the support of the UCLA Center for 17th- and 18th-Century Studies.
