The UCLA Film and Television Archive hosts a screening of “The Night of the Iguana” and “Reflections in a Golden Eye” as part of the program, “John Huston: A Retrospective.” The program will run from June 17 through August 27 and will feature different films directed by John Huston.
“The Night of the Iguana” tells the story of a defamed clergyman as he leads a bus of middle-aged Baptist women on a tour of the Mexican coast and comes to terms with the failure haunting his life.
“Reflections in a Golden Eye” stars Marlon Brandon and Elizabeth Taylor. The film deals with elements of repressed sexuality, both homosexual and heterosexual, as well as voyeurism and murder.
"The Night of the Iguana" and “Reflections in a Golden Eye” will screen Sunday, July 9, at 7 p.m. in the Billy Wilder Theater at the Hammer Museum.
