Chancellor’s Excellence in Service Award
This award recognizes staff members who go above and beyond the call of duty in helping the university achieve its mission. One Chancellor’s Excellence in Service Award will be presented to a full-time UCLA staff member who demonstrates a commitment to university values through significant contributions and achievements that consistently exceed established requirements of the individual’s appointed job. Self-nominations are not accepted. If members of your department are submitting multiple nomination letters on behalf of one individual, please identify one contact person on the nomination form and attach all letters of support to the form. The individual selected for this prestigious honor will receive a $4,000 award.
Faculty/Staff Partnership Award
In recognition of the value of collaboration and collegiality, UCLA Staff Assembly would like to honor faculty members who develop and encourage partnerships among faculty and staff. Some examples of these partnerships include soliciting staff input and feedback regularly or working together on projects. Nominations may be submitted by any UCLA non-academic staff member.
Kevin McCauley Memorial Outstanding Staff Award
The McCauley Award is designed to recognize staff members who are supportive and inclusive of UC staff, and encourage equity, diversity and collaboration. The winner of this UCLA award will serve as UCLA's nominee for UC-wide recognition by the Council of University of California Staff Assemblies.
Staff Centennial scholarships
Each year UCLA Staff Assembly offers scholarships for staff who are seeking professional growth opportunities. UCLA staff may apply for an individual scholarship of up to $500. Scholarships must be used during the 2019–20 academic year and are funded on a reimbursement basis only upon completion of the course/seminar/workshop that was outlined in the application. The scholarship recipients must be active employees at the time of reimbursement. Applicants also have the option to apply for a scholarship to attend the inaugural Staff Assembly “Invest in U” Summit on June 18.
Recipients of the awards and scholarships will be honored at the Staff Assembly Awards Recognition Reception on Thursday, June 27, from 5 to 7 p.m. at the J.D. Morgan Center and Athletic Hall of Fame.
