Do you know a Bruin whose hard work and integrity exemplifies what it means to be a True Bruin? Someone who stands out for the passion they bring to their work, the commitment they have for a cause, their sustained success from doing what they love?
Now’s your chance to nominate that Bruin for a coveted UCLA Award from the UCLA Alumni Association. Since 1946, these awards have paid tribute to extraordinary members of the Bruin family, from legends like Jackie Robinson and John Wooden to everyday heroes like LAPD Captain Anita Ortega and Sister Diane Donoghue. These and other past recipients of the UCLA Award have contributed significantly for the betterment of their communities, distinguished themselves as public servants and set new standards of excellence in their professions. They’ve dedicated their time, talents and treasure to advance UCLA, demonstrated exceptional leadership as alumni, staff, volunteer or network and, through their achievements, have brought great honor to the university.
UCLA Awards are given in nine categories, from the Edward A. Dickson Alumnus of the Year Award to the UCLA Award for Professional Achievement and the UCLA Award for University Service. Find a complete list of the awards and their descriptions here. Meet the 2015 UCLA Award winners here.
