Share your home movies and see movies by others on Home Movie Day, Sunday, Oct. 18, 10 a.m. – 4 p.m. in the Department of Information Studies at UCLA’s Graduate School of Education and Information Studies.

Home Movie Day is an annual, international event, tied in with the Center for Home Movies, that celebrates the personal and cultural documentation that home movies represent.

Bring your 8mm, Super 8mm or 16mm films to the event and the film-archivist organizers will prep and show as many of them as possible over the course of the day. A lineup of home movies that were submitted and prepared in advance will also be screened. The family-friendly event will include door prize drawings and “Home Movie Day Bingo,” along with advice on how to take care of your home movies to preserve them for future generations.

Home Movie Day takes place at the Information Sciences laboratory in the GSEIS building on north campus. Find a map and more information here.
