Peter Kazaras, a professor in the UCLA Herb Albert School of Music, will direct a production of “A Quiet Place” at the Tanglewood Music Festival. The performance will take place Aug. 9 at Seiji Ozawa Hall in Lenox, Massachusetts.
“A Quiet Place” was Lenoard Bernstein’s final work for the stage and originally premiered in 1983. The festival will celebrate the centennial of Bernstein’s birth with this production.
Kazaras, who has been at UCLA since 2007, currently serves as director of Opera UCLA. In that role he has directed, supervised or produced more than 25 productions.
