Jason Cong, distinguished chancellor’s professor of computer science in the UCLA Samueli School of Engineering, has been named one of the recipients of the Google Faculty Research Award.
The goal of the award is to identify and strengthen long-term collaborative relationships with faculty working on problems that will impact how future generations use technology.
Cong’s research interests include electronic design automation, energy-efficient computing, customized computing for big-data applications and highly scalable algorithms. He is the director of the Center for Domain-Specific Computing at UCLA. In 2017, Cong was elected to the National Academy of Engineering.
