Professor emeritus Richard Roll, the Joel Fried Chair in Applied Finance at the UCLA Anderson School of Management as well as the Linde Professor of Finance at the California Institute of Technology, has won the 2015 Onassis Prize for Finance. Roll shares the award with professor Stewart Myers of MIT.
Awarded to the world’s foremost academics in the fields of finance, international trade and shipping, the prizes include a cash award of $200,000. They are sponsored by the Alexander S. Onassis Public Benefit Foundation and awarded every three years by Cass Business School, jointly with the Onassis Foundation.
