Anna Wu

Anna Wu, a professor of molecular and medical pharmacology at the David Geffen School of Medicine at UCLA, was one of 11 scientists honored at the Suffrage Science awards ceremony.

Celebrating women in science, the biannual event, which was held June 6 at the Academy of Medical Sciences in London, encourages women to enter science and reach for senior leadership roles. Awardees are selected for both their scientific achievements and ability to inspire and guide others in their careers.

Wu’s laboratory explores new biomolecular techniques to better diagnose and treat cancer. She also serves as director of the cancer molecular imaging program at UCLA, and is the co-founder and chief scientist of ImaginAb, a company developing new imaging tools to help physicians deliver better care to cancer patients.
