UCLA School of Theater, Film and Television lecturer Neil Landau has published a new book, “TV Writing on Demand: Creating Great Content in the Digital Era,” in February. The book investigates writing for today’s audiences against the backdrop of a rapidly evolving TV ecosystem.

Landau also wrote an animated feature “Tad Jones: The Hero Returns.” Jones, an awkward but endearing explorer, must rescue his beloved Sara from a millionaire who is looking for King Midas’ necklace. The film was Spain’s highest-grossing movie last year and was named Best Animated Film of 2017 by the Goya Awards, Spain’s equivalent of the Academy Awards.

Landau teaches in the M.F.A. screenwriting and producing programs and serves as the associate director of screenwriting for television.
