Chuck Sheetz, animation professor in the School of Theater, Film and Television and vice chair of undergraduate studies, recently directed an episode of "The Simpsons," which aired on Fox on March 16. The episode, titled "The Winter of His Content," is the most recent of 17 episodes directed by Sheetz, who has directed other episodes, including "I am Furious Yellow," "Eternal Moonshine of the Simpson Mind" and "Gorgeous Grandpa."
Sheetz graduated from the UCLA School of Theater, Film and Television in 1983. His prolific career as a director of animated television includes work on "King of the Hill," "What's New, Scooby-Doo?" and "The Critic." He also directed the series "Recess." Sheetz won a primetime Emmy in 2008 for his directorial work on the Simpsons" episode "Eternal Moonshine of the Simpson Mind."
