Bruins can get a used bike or used bike parts for free on Bike (Re)cycling Day, 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., Sunday, Nov. 6, on the rooftop of Parking Structure 8. But first, you must register for a lottery for a chance to participate in the popular event.
Every year for the past six years, UCLA Transportation and the UCLA Police Department have teamed up to give away abandoned bikes and bike parts — in "as-is" condition — to members of the UCLA community.
Register for the lottery by 9 a.m. on Monday, Oct. 31. Later that same day, participants will selected in a random drawing and notified by email. Only UCLA students, staff and faculty members with BruinCards may participate.
