Three outstanding staff members will receive 2016 Excellence Awards from the UCLA Administrative Management Group in recognition of their dedication to the pursuit of excellence in their careers at UCLA.

Reem Hanna-Harwell, assistant dean in the UCLA College Division of Humanities, will receive the Excellence in Leadership Award. The award recognizes her management excellence in having a significant and lasting impact on the people she leads, and in exemplifying leadership qualities that UCLA values.

Petrina Long, associate athletic director of intercollegiate athletics, will receive the Distinguished Career Award, which recognizes her distinguished career over a significant period of time at UCLA, sharing invaluable institutional knowledge with others and making mportant contributions to the campus as a whole.

Peter Bracke, communications director at the Jonsson Comprehensive Cancer Center, will receive the Rising Star Award. This award recognizes his high potential to make a positive impact throughout his career, having established a leadership role on campus while pursuing training and development opportunities for career growth.

The award recipients, as well as all staff members who were nominated, will be celebrated at a reception on July 27, noon – 2 p.m. in the Morgan Center press room. Members of the campus community are invited. Due to space limitations, a reservation is required. RSVP here.
