Vickie Mays, professor of clinical psychology at UCLA, has been named a featured psychologist by the American Psychological Association Public Interest Directorate.
Mays’ interests include increasing psychological research within underserved populations, such as women and ethnic minorities. She hopes to use this research to guide policy development within these communities, and to advance research methodologies to meet the needs of underserved populations. Mays currently serves as director of the UCLA Center for Research, Education, Training and Strategic Communications on Minority Health Disparities.
