Four UCLA architecture and urban design faculty have been invited to participate in the Chicago Architecture Biennial, opening on Sept. 16.

The participants include: professor Sylvia Lavin, and lecturers Jimenez Lai, Erin Besler and Andrew Kovacs. In addition, four UCLA alumni have been chosen to participate: Diego Arraigada, Andrew Holder, Benjamin Freyinger and Atelier Manferdinai.

The Chicago Architecture Biennial, which runs from Sept. 16, 2017, to Jan. 7, 2018, provides a platform for groundbreaking architectural projects and spatial experiments that demonstrate how creativity and innovation can radically transform any lived experience. The main hub for the biennial is the Chicago Cultural Center, a five-story Beaux-Arts building located in the heart of downtown Chicago.
