Postdoc Appreciation Week at UCLA features lots of resources for postdoctoral scholars.

The Graduate Division and Sociable Postdoc Society at UCLA are recognizing UCLA’s postdoctoral scholars this week as part of National Postdoc Appreciation Week. This is the second year that UCLA has taken part in formally appreciating the contributions that postdoctoral scholars make to the university community.

Organizations from around campus are providing a wide range of events for scholars to enjoy from a walking tour of North Campus to a professional development workshop. The week concludes Friday with a coffee hour at Kerckhoff coffee house hosted by the Sociable Postdoc Society.

National Postdoc Appreciation Week was first recognized by the U.S. House of Representatives in 2010 and is now celebrated at dozens of universities across the country. The events this week at UCLA have been sponsored by the National Postdoctoral Association, Sociable Postdoc Society, the David Geffen School of Medicine at UCLA, Office of Postdoctoral Affairs in the Biomedical and Life Sciences, UCLA Faculty Center, UCLA Graduate Division, UCLA Athletics, Los Angeles Chamber Orchestra and Geffen Playhouse
