Dr. Mark DeAntonio, clinical professor of psychiatry at the Semel Institute for Neuroscience and Human Behavior at UCLA, is an expert in child and adolescent psychology. DeAntonio, who is also director of adolescent inpatient services at the Resnick Neuropsychiatric Hospital at UCLA, specializes in the diagnosis and treatment of psychiatric illness in children and adolescents.

In particular, DeAntonio has focused on access to mental health care, HIV issues in children and adolescents, and chronic illness in children and adolescents. He is available to offer insights and commentary on how children and teens respond to school shootings as well.
