Pedro Noguera is a distinguished professor of education in the UCLA Graduate School of Education and Information Studies and an expert on urban schools, race and education, and student achievement. The director of the UCLA Center for the Study of School Transformation, Nogeura’s research focuses on the ways in which schools are influenced by social and economic conditions, as well as by demographic trends in local, regional and global contexts.
Noguera’s expertise also includes education in other countries, immigration, and leadership and school reform.
