Wilted leaves during drought

Wilted tree leaves in Hawaiian forest during the extreme drought of 2010-11, which was the worst in at least 11 years and was federally designated a natural disaster. This tree is a sandalwood (Santalum paniculatum).
Droughts are increasing worldwide, and UCLA life sciences research shows how to predict which species will be most sensitive.
