Joshua Bloom
Joshua Bloom, a UCLA doctoral candidate in sociology, received the American Book Award for “Black Against Empire: The History and Politics of the Black Panther Party,” during a ceremony on Oct. 28, 2014. He shares the award with co-author Waldo Martin, a UC Berkeley historian.
