Topological Insulator

The researchers infused the topological insulator with chromium (Cr) atoms, via a  technique called “doping”, making it conduct electricity on its surface and showing magnetism. Further, such a magnetic topological insulator is sandwiched by two magnetic materials, known as antiferromagnets, which possess desirable magnetic properties.
