Rescued German Film
Friday's New York Times highlighted efforts by the UCLA Film and Television Archive to restore footage from "Different from the Others," a 1919 German film that was banned for its depiction of homosexuality. Jan-Christopher Horak, director of the UCLA Film and Television Archive, was quoted. 
Anxiety Disorders in Children and Adolescents
A Thursday Examiner article highlighted UCLA research showing that children and adolescents who suffer from anxiety disorders have increased activity in a specific part of the brain, the medial prefrontal cortex, when they are interpreting a situation negatively. The study's co-author, Tara Peris, assistant professor of psychiatry at the Semel Institute for Neuroscience and Human Behavior at UCLA, was quoted.
UCLA Works to Support Veterans
The new Ronald A.
