A study by the UCLA Center for Health Policy Research showing that 60 percent of young children in California, and 70 percent of Latino children, had eaten fast food at least once during the previous week was highlighted today by the Salinas Californian. Shape-Shifting Prostate Cancer Cells
United Press International reported Tuesday on a study by researchers at the UCLA Broad Stem Cell Research Center showing that prostate cancer stem cells evolve into different cells as the disease progresses, making targeted treatments more difficult. Dr. Andrew Goldstein, an assistant researcher in molecular and medical pharmacology at UCLA, was quoted.
Teaching Slang to English-Language Learners
