UCLA faculty experts advisory: Major power failures cripple India

India's largest electrical blackout in history continued into its second day today, wreaking havoc on the country's infrastructure and leaving more than half a billion people without power. UCLA has experts.

 

Rajit Gadh, director of UCLA's Smart Grid Energy Research Center and a professor of mechanical and aerospace engineering, specializes in electrical power and wireless smart-grid technologies.
