French Prof's Fiction Hits the U.S.
Today's Los Angeles Times features a profile of Alain Mabanckou, UCLA professor of French and Francophone studies, highlighting his prize-winning novels, several of which have recently been translated from French into English. Mabanckou and Dominic Thomas, also a UCLA professor of French and Francophone studies, are quoted.
Future of Digital Media With UCLA, Sony
City News Service reports today that the UCLA School of Theater, Film and Television is partnering with Sony Electronics and USC's film school on the Sony Digital Media Academy, which will focus on developing and enhancing digital media technologies, including 3-D cinema and augmented reality.
