UCLA faculty experts advisory: Suit says utilities' emissions are 'public nuisance'

The U.S. Court of Appeals for the 2nd Circuit in New York has reinstated a 2004 lawsuit by eight states, including California, and New York City against five of the largest U.S. utilities over their greenhouse gas emissions. The suit, which had been dismissed in October 2005, argues that the emissions are a public nuisance and would cause irreparable harm to property. UCLA has experts.
