Hello Bruin family!
July 31, 2008 | 3:30 PMNatalie Golda
I'm excited to have been asked to do a blog for the fans on the UCLA website! Hopefully, I can give you some fun insight into the Olympic Games. I'm not the usual "We won, and so-and-so scored so many goals..." blogger, but I do bring some spice into the mix here.Currently, I'm sitting in my hotel room in Da Xing, China. I woke up at 6:30 a.m. for no particular reason - so I'm writing to you while listening to some Bad Company. We have been here since Wednesday and will leave for the Olympic Village on Monday. The Dutch have joined us here in Da Xing for some common training before the tournament begins.
This will be my second Olympic Games, and I feel calmly excited. For my entire career, I have been trying to keep my intensity in check - and thankfully, I think the time has finally come.
I look forward to sharing my stories with you, and hopefully you will enjoy them.
Go Bruins, and more importantly, go Team USA!
