Update on Barbara Bachman's condition

The United States Olympic Commitee released a statement, dated Sunday Beijing time, regarding the medical condition of Barbara Bachman, mother of former UCLA volleyball player Elisabeth Bachman:
BEIJING, China – Mrs. Bachman suffered multiple lacerations and stab wounds in the attack yesterday.After undergoing approximately eight hours of surgery yesterday afternoon and evening, she is in critical but stable condition at a Beijing hospital. Family members, including her daughter Elisabeth Bachman McCutcheon and son-in-law Hugh McCutcheon, are with her.Hugh will not be on the bench today for the U.S. Men's Volleyball Team’s opening game versus Venezuela.
Hugh McCutcheon is head coach of the U.S. mens volleyball team. He is married to Elisabeth Bachman, who played for the United States at the 2004 Olympics in Athens. She was unhurt in Saturday's attack, but her father, Todd Bachman, was killed.
