Mark Kleiman

Biography
Mark Kleiman, professor of public policy at the UCLA School of Public Affairs, is an authority on drug-control policy and the criminal justice system.
 
The author of "Marijuana: Costs of Abuse, Costs of Control" and "Against Excess: Drug Policy for Results," Kleiman has advised local, state and national governments on crime control and drug policy.
 
Kleiman has held numerous government positions in the field of crime control and drug policy and served as director of policy and management analysis for the criminal division of the U.S. Department of Justice. He chairs the drug policy committee of the Federation of American Scientists and edits its Drug Policy Analysis Bulletin.
