Biography
Williams, associate professor of women's studies, is an expert on political sex scandals and the institution of marriage.
 
She is the co-editor of and contributor to the 2004 collection of scholarly essays entitled "Public Affairs" (Duke University Press), which shows how political sex scandals take shape, gain momentum and alter the U.S. political and cultural landscape.
 
Williams has also studied the meaning of marriage, green card marriage fraud, reality tv marriages and spousal hires in academia.
