UCLA presents Crocker symposium on business, real-estate law

Jerry Brown, Henry Cisneros to keynote event featuring industry experts

WHAT:
The Richard S. Ziman Center for Real Estate at the UCLA Anderson School of Management and the Los Angeles County Bar Association's real property section will partner to present the year's premier real-estate law and business conference, the Benjamin S. Crocker Symposium. This daylong event will feature leading business and real-estate law experts, who will discuss the most creative, forward-thinking, and important ideas and strategies for dealing with and finding success in today's uncertain real-estate environment.

WHO:
Symposium speakers will include:
  • Edmund G. "Jerry" Brown Jr., California's attorney general 
  • Henry Cisneros, executive chairman of CityView; former U.S. secretary of housing and urban development
  • Richard S. Ziman, chairman of American Value Partners
  • Stuart Gabriel, director of the UCLA Ziman Center for Real Estate
  • Harvey E. Green, president and chief executive officer of Marcus & Millichap
  • Jeffrey M. Gault, chief executive officer of LandCap Partners
 
WHEN:
7:30 a.m.–5:30 p.m. on Wednesday, April 9
  • 7:30–8:30 a.m.: registration and breakfast
  • 8:30–11:45 a.m.: conference
  • Noon–1:30 p.m.: lunch and keynote address by Henry Cisneros
  • 1:45–5:30 p.m.: conference
