Dalai Lama cancels UCLA visit due to illness

His Holiness the Dalai Lama is unable to travel due to ill health, his office announced. His scheduled appearances at UCLA on Monday, May 2 have been canceled.
 
A 1:30 p.m. symposium in Royce Hall, "Buddhism and Neuroscience: A Discussion on Attention, Mental Flexibility and Compassion," will go ahead without the Dalai Lama's participation. There will be no live webcast of the symposium.
 
Ticket holders are being notified. Information on refunds.
