Sold-out Real Madrid practice moves from Carson to UCLA

Real Madrid at UCLA
Fans who bought tickets to see the Spanish soccer team Real Madrid in a training session with Southern California's own Los Angeles Galaxy are making last-minute changes to their travel plans, now that the practice has moved from the StubHub Center in Carson to UCLA.

Only fans with previously purchased tickets to the Carson event will have access to the UCLA training session at 5 p.m. on Friday. The practice is not open to the general public, and tickets are no longer on sale. More information is available in an announcement on the L.A. Galaxy website, "Real Madrid's training session moved to UCLA."

Fans who park in UCLA's Parking Structure 4 must show their tickets when entering the structure to have their parking covered by the L.A. Galaxy. Ticket-holders are advised to arrive at 4 p.m., and those arriving after the 5 p.m. start time will have to pay for parking. The training session will take place on the North Athletic Field, directly above the underground parking structure. (Parking and campus map)

Real Madrid is nearing the end of a weeklong visit to UCLA, where they have trained almost daily on the university's celebrated field. More information is available in this media advisory.

Media should contact Benjamin Spencer, director of communications for Relevent Sports, at bspencer@releventsports.com with questions. To cover practices at UCLA, media will be required to present LAPD media passes or other professional media credentials. Information about which training sessions will be open to the media will be posted each day on Real Madrid's website

At UCLA, media should park in parking structures 4 or 7 ($12 per day or $1 per 20 minutes). News vans taller than the 8-foot, 2-inch clearance can park at the very front of the bus cutout on Charles E. Young Drive North, or along the red curb in the northeast quadrant of the North Westwood Plaza turnaround, near the UCLA Anderson School of Management. Vehicles and news vans will be ticketed if they are parked in other red zones or non-parking areas. (Parking map, campus map)
